|This community was created over a year ago with the goal of creating a space for LJ's many language lovers to teach language and learn from each other. The goal is simple: have fun and learn or teach! Any post related to language or linguistics is allowed, however posts related specifically to the learning, teaching, and/or acquisition of language are encouraged. This includes any aspect of learning, from basic words to complex grammar questions. When posting translation requests be sure to include the context, as it makes it easier for us to translate correctly. |
If you're wondering, lingustically, who's here, this entry may interest you. Please feel free to add to the poll and keep the information current. Also, if you're language is not listed, please leave a comment telling what it is! Similarly, if you believe that something should be added to the interests list, contact me.
The rules are simple. I've never had to ban anyone and I only delete posts when someone saves the same entry multiple times. However, if there is ever a problem I'll take action.
› Abuse If you feel that you are being mistreated by a user please contact me privately via e-mail (email@example.com). If the abuse continues or escalates, contact the LJ Abuse Team.
› Flaming/Trolling This is pretty obvious: if you're here to start trouble expect to be banned and reported.
› Long Entries and Images Please use the LJ-Cut code if you are posting long entries, large graphics, multiple graphics, etc.
› Font If you are posting non-Roman characters it is helpful to use a larger font. The code is <font size="SIZE HERE">TEXT HERE</font> Font sizes between 4 and 7 are generally acceptable.
› Editing Entries If you want to edit an entry, go to the Read Comments or Post Comments page and click the button and you can edit it. To delete an entry, click the button and then erase all of the text or click the "Delete Entry" button at the bottom of the page.
